Vice President of Tax

About the Opportunity

A growing organization is seeking a Vice President of Tax to lead its tax function and serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership. This role offers the opportunity to oversee complex tax matters, support business initiatives, and help drive the continued evolution of the finance organization.

Key Responsibilities

Lead tax planning, compliance, reporting, and audit activities

Develop and execute tax strategies aligned with business objectives

Oversee federal, state, and local tax matters

Support acquisitions, transactions, and other strategic initiatives

Partner with Finance, Accounting, Legal, and executive leadership

Build and develop talent within the tax function

Drive process improvements, controls, and operational efficiencies

Manage external advisors and key stakeholder relationships

Advise leadership on tax risk, planning opportunities, and regulatory developments

Qualifications

Progressive experience in corporate tax, public accounting, or a combination of both

Experience leading tax projects, initiatives, or teams

Knowledge of tax compliance, reporting, and planning concepts

Exposure to transactions, acquisitions, or other strategic business activities preferred

Experience working within a complex business environment preferred

Strong communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills

CPA or advanced tax/accounting credentials are a plus
