Technology Director Technology Director Jackson County Medford, Oregon Annual Salary: $145,454.40 – $185,660.80 DOE/DOQ Jackson County, Oregon, is seeking a forward-thinking and service-focused Technology Director (Classification: IT Director) to serve as its Chief Information Officer. This leader will oversee the technology systems and services that support County operations and the community. Lead Technology for Jackson County Reporting to the County Administrator, the Technology Director will serve in a highly visible leadership role. The position leads four direct reports and up to 30 indirect staff. In addition, the Director oversees a budget of more than $10 million. The Technology Director will guide a complex enterprise technology environment. Key areas include core systems, IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, telecommunications, and major technology projects. As a result, this leader will play an important role in keeping Jackson County secure, connected, and responsive. The Ideal Technology Director The ideal candidate is an experienced technology leader who can balance strategy with practical solutions. They will listen to others, build strong relationships, and effectively navigate competing priorities. Additionally, the successful candidate will know how to engage departments and stakeholders across a complex organization. They will bring the leadership skills needed to guide major projects while supporting reliable day-to-day technology services. Government experience is preferred.
