Clinical Director, General Surgery | San Antonio, TX

Up to $137K based on experience. Sign-on and relocation available.

A growing 253-bed acute care hospital in one of the fastest-growing parts of San Antonio is hiring a Clinical Director for General Surgery. The surgical department averages more than 500 cases a month and is adding new robotics and neurology programs.

The role

Lead nursing services for the surgical department, including IntraOp, GI, recovery and anesthesia techs

48 direct reports, reporting to the Administrative Director of Surgery

Own quality, patient outcomes, policy and regulatory compliance

Build and manage the department budget, productivity and staffing

Coach, develop and evaluate staff and keep patient flow moving

What you need

BSN required (BSN in progress considered)

Active RN license in Texas or a compact state

AHA BLS

3 to 5 years of clinical patient care experience

2+ years of healthcare leadership as a supervisor or manager

Master’s degree in nursing, health administration or business preferred

Schedule: Full time, 5 days, 8 hours.
