Director of Surgical Services – Level II Trauma Center | Treasure Coast, Florida

Full-Time | Days, No Weekends | Relocation Assistance Available

A well-established acute care hospital on Florida’s Treasure Coast is looking for an experienced Director of Surgical Services to lead a busy, high-acuity surgical program. You’ll have strong resources, a seasoned leadership team below you, and a direct line to senior leadership.

The Department

13 ORs plus 2 endoscopy suites

Level II Trauma Center

30–35 cases per day

3 da Vinci Xi robots

Service lines include ortho, neurosurgery, CV, general, urology, GYN, GYN oncology, ENT, podiatry, pediatrics and vascular

Leadership Scope

Reports to the Hospital COO

3 managers report to you

About 120 FTEs

What You’ll Do

Lead the overall operations, staffing, forecasting and budget for Surgical Services

Put evidence-based practices in place that improve patient safety and quality outcomes

Reduce variation in clinical practice to improve efficiency, effectiveness and cost

Keep the department compliant with regulatory, accreditation and legal standards, and make sure equipment is maintained to those standards

Improve patient throughput and flow through volume forecasting and strong coordination

Use patient feedback and benchmarking to improve the patient experience

Recruit, develop, coach and retain a high-performing team, and build a culture of accountability and collaboration

Requirements

BSN required

Recent experience as a Director of Surgical Services (required)

Master’s degree preferred

Competitive base salary,

17.5% annual bonus potential, with upside up to 150%
