Senior Director of Accounting

About The Opportunity

I’m partnering with a leading healthcare services organization on a new Senior Director of Accounting hire. This person will play a key leadership role overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, process improvement initiatives, and team leadership across a complex and growing environment.

What You’ll Lead

Direct accounting operations, including financial close, general ledger oversight, and financial reporting.

Partner with finance and operational leaders to enhance reporting accuracy and support strategic decision-making.

Oversee reconciliations, journal entry reviews, and the integrity of financial data.

Drive process improvement, automation, and efficiency initiatives across the accounting function.

Support audit activities and maintain strong internal control and compliance practices.

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing accounting team focused on operational excellence.

What They’re Looking For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

10+ years of progressive relevant experience leading accounting and financial reporting functions within large or complex organizations (healthcare related, required)

Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, corporate accounting principles, and internal controls.

Proven leadership experience managing teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.

Track record of improving accounting processes, reporting quality, and operational efficiency.

Oracle ERP system experience

Additional Skills/Experience Preferred

· Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation

· Prior experience with a top 10 level accounting firm

· Healthcare industry experience (services, provider, managed care, value based)
