BACK JOB ID: 18693 Hybrid Direct Hire Senior Revenue Accountant ATLANTA Georgia 0 90000 100000 PER HOUR Senior Revenue Accountant Hybrid in Vinings, GA | Remote Mondays & Fridays | $90,000–$100,000 + 5% Bonus About the Opportunity A growing company is looking for a Senior Revenue Accountant to join its P&C Accounting team. This is a hands-on role that combines accounting, revenue analysis, data management, and business partnership. The ideal candidate is more than someone who can complete journal entries. We’re looking for a proactive, curious problem-solver who wants to understand how the business works, dig into the numbers, identify issues, and figure out how to fix them. You’ll work closely with Finance and Operations teams and become a go-to resource for understanding revenue, AR, and financial results. What You'll Do Manage monthly revenue and accounts receivable processes using data from the Agency Management System (AMS) Pull, analyze, and validate large amounts of transactional data and make sure it ties to the general ledger Prepare monthly revenue and AR schedules, reconciliations, and journal entries Own revenue recognition and supporting workbooks for multiple P&Ls Investigate discrepancies and work with Operations and Finance to resolve issues at the source Perform month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations Analyze actual results against prior periods, budgets, and forecasts and explain the reasons behind variances Assist with cash reconciliations and research differences between system and bank activity Provide Finance leaders with clear, data-driven answers about revenue and financial results Support external audits and maintain accurate, well-documented schedules Look for ways to improve, simplify, and automate reporting and reconciliation processes What We're Looking For Proactive mindset with a willingness to take ownership and solve problems rather than simply identify them Strong accounting foundation, including journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and debits/credits Strong analytical skills and comfort working with large, detailed datasets High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in a deadline-driven environment Curious about the “why” behind the numbers and interested in understanding how the business operates Able to communicate financial information clearly with both accounting and non-accounting teams Organized and able to manage recurring month-end responsibilities independently Good judgment and the confidence to make decisions while knowing when to escalate an issue Experience & Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field 2–5+ years of accounting or finance experience Advanced Excel skills, including XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, PivotTables, and linked workbooks Experience working with large datasets Power Query experience is a plus Insurance brokerage, agency, or P&C experience is highly preferred Experience with an Agency Management System is a plus; Applied Epic experience strongly preferred Why This Role?
