About the job

Strategic Kids has partnered with schools since 2013, guided by a simple mission: to enrich students' lives with great educators who support student experiences.

Strategic Kids provides staffing and enrichment services to schools in California, Colorado, and Washington. They help educators and school leaders meet critical student needs by providing reliable staffing support and high-quality programs that strengthen classrooms and improve student outcomes.

They are seeking a California-based Senior Educational Advisor to join their Strategic Referral Program. This is a remote, relationship-driven role for a respected former senior district leader who wants to stay connected to California education.

Your core purpose is to open doors. Your introductions can help district leaders solve real operational and instructional challenges while creating meaningful opportunities for students, schools, and aspiring educators. As a referral partner, you play an important role in helping school districts access solutions that can ease staffing pressure, strengthen student support, and expand access to quality services

This partnership also creates clear value for you. By leveraging your relationships and credibility, you can help drive positive outcomes for districts while participating in a structured program that offers compensation for both qualified meetings and long-term contract success.

Schedule: Part-time and flexible, approximately 5-10 hours per week. You set your own outreach schedule.

Major Responsibilities:

Proactively reach out to former colleagues and contacts in California school districts to introduce Strategic Kids' offerings.

Secure introductory meetings with district decision-makers.

Expand Strategic Kids’ impact by bringing their services to schools and students they do not yet serve.

Preferred Qualifications

Senior leadership experience in California school district administration, such as superintendent, assistant superintendent, or executive director/director-level roles in HR, special education, educational services, or a closely related district function.

Strong, current relationships with district leaders at the assistant superintendent level and above across multiple California districts.

A proven track record of proactively reconnecting with former colleagues and starting new conversations.

The professional credibility and reputation that make colleagues comfortable taking a meeting on your recommendation.

Leadership experience in several districts, especially larger or strategically significant California districts a plus.

Located anywhere in California. This is a remote role, and no routine in-person meetings are required.
