About the job

Tired of putting out fires? We’re looking for someone who’d rather prevent them.

Westphal Staffing is partnering with a well-established manufacturing company in the Wisconsin Rapids area that is looking for an experienced Maintenance Manager to take the lead on its maintenance operations.

This isn’t just about fixing equipment when something breaks. A major focus of this role is helping move the maintenance department from reactive to proactive—strengthening preventative and predictive maintenance, tackling root causes, improving uptime, and leading projects and initiatives that make the entire operation run better.

What you’ll be doing:

Lead, coach, and develop the maintenance team

Drive preventative and predictive maintenance initiatives to reduce unplanned downtime

Lead facility, engineering, equipment improvement, and CAPEX projects

Develop stronger troubleshooting and root-cause processes

Help improve equipment reliability and overall plant uptime

Plan and coordinate scheduled outages

Promote a strong safety culture, including LOTO and other safety programs

What we’re looking for:

10+ years of progressive multi-trade industrial maintenance experience

Previous maintenance leadership/management experience preferred

Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, electrical and mechanical maintenance

Solid understanding of preventative and predictive maintenance

Experience with CMMS systems, troubleshooting, and blueprint reading

A leader who can coach, influence, problem-solve, and get people excited about improving the way things are done

If you’re the kind of maintenance leader who asks “How do we keep this from happening again?” instead of just “How fast can we fix it?”—we want to talk to you!
