Accounting Manager

We are looking for an Accounting Manager to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below. Responsibilities Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation Manage and mentor a team of accounting professionals, supporting their development Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies Coordinate with external auditors and support the annual audit process Develop and maintain internal controls across the accounting function Partner with FP&A and other departments on budgeting, forecasting, and reporting needs Identify and drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy Support ad hoc financial analysis and special projects as needed Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 5+ years of accounting experience, including prior supervisory or management experience Strong knowledge of GAAP and month-end/year-end close processes Experience managing or mentoring accounting staff Proficiency with accounting/ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills What Our Client Offers Real ownership over close processes and team development, not just oversight in name only Direct collaboration with FP&A and cross-functional finance partners Room to drive process improvements rather than maintain the status quo A team environment that supports growth into higher-level finance leadership
