Permit and Escort Manager

The Position

Job Title: Permit and Escort Manager

Job Type: Full-time; On-site

Responsibilities:

Obtain and manage state and local oversize and overweight permits.

Review routes, permit conditions, travel restrictions, and escort requirements before each move.

Hire and schedule pilot cars, police escorts, and other required support.

Verify escort qualifications and maintain a reliable network of providers.

Coordinate with dispatch, drivers, customers, and permitting agencies to keep shipments moving.

Resolve permit or escort changes quickly when schedules or routes change.

Experience:

Proven experience securing heavy haul permits across multiple states.

Proven experience hiring and coordinating escorts for oversize loads.

Strong knowledge of route restrictions, permit requirements, and heavy haul operations.

Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple shipments and changing deadlines.
