About the job

New York, Position Summary Leads and executes PRSA's membership strategy: individual acquisition, individual retention, and group/employer membership growth — as the accountable owner of the membership funnel. Responsibilities: Strategy leadership

Own and evolve PRSA's membership strategy across acquisition, retention, and group/employer growth; assess and analyze data for strategy calibrations. Set annual acquisition and retention targets by segment (individual early-career, individual established, group/employer, student/PRSSA transition, lapsed win-back). Decide and defend the promotional-discount calendar; hold the line against discount escalation that isn't tied to a measured return.

Acquisition

Direct individual-member acquisition campaigns, sequencing internal promotional messaging (Informz) against external value-proposition campaigns run by vendors such as Digital Revamp. Build and scale the Group Member Program: tiered group membership packages, published pricing, and a defined sales/outreach motion for employer accounts. Use Certificate Program engagement data as a cross-sell channel into both individual and group membership.

Retention

Own the individual renewal funnel, including the PropFuel always-on renewal automation and its drop-off diagnostics; convert diagnostic findings into a standing quarterly retention review. Own group/employer account retention separately from individual retention, including seat-reallocation policy so employer accounts don't silently lose enrolled members between staff turnover. Own the Lapsed Member Win-Back and PRSSA-to-PRSA pipelines, including periodic refresh of offers and messaging.

Data & reporting

Maintain a standing historical archive of campaign performance (Informz and PropFuel) so year-over-year comparisons don't require manual reconstruction under time pressure. Report monthly on new-member counts, net membership change, group membership concentration (% of group total held by the largest accounts), and retention rate by segment. Manages online and shared services model.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor's degree required 7+ years in membership, marketing, or business development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role owning acquisition and retention targets. Demonstrated experience with marketing and member-lifecycle platforms (Informz, PropFuel, or comparable AMS/email/SMS automation tools). Experience building or scaling a B2B/group or employer-sponsored membership or subscription program. Working knowledge of nonprofit membership economics, including dues pricing, discount strategy, and the difference between acquisition-cost and retention-cost tradeoffs. Comfort presenting to executive level audiences and individuals. Prior experience with 501(c)(6) or 501(c)(3) membership or trade-association environments preferred. Annual Salary:95K-125K with generous benefits package Candidates that reside in following states are welcomed to apply: New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida and Texas.
