Sr. Talent Acquisition Specialist, Government & Life Sciences Consulting

Location: Remote

Be Part of One Team, One Purpose.

At Emmes Group , we’re shaping the future of clinical research— where human intelligence meets cutting-edge technology to drive meaningful advancements in healthcare. With over 47 years of scientific excellence , we’ve led groundbreaking research in cell and gene therapy, vaccines, infectious diseases, ophthalmology, rare diseases, and neuroscience.

Through our two business units— Emmes, a full-service CRO , and Veridix AI, our technology, data, and analytical solutions —we are modernizing clinical trials and accelerating the development of life-changing therapies.

We believe that every clinical breakthrough starts with people —people who are passionate, purpose-driven, and ready to make an impact. At Emmes Group, we bring People, Science, and Technology together to collaborate with our customers and deliver global health impact. Our culture is built on integrity, collaboration, and innovation , ensuring that every challenge is met with perseverance and accountability.

We're looking for a recruiter who treats hiring like a revenue function. Every open seat is billable capacity waiting to be filled, and every bad hire is a margin problem. You'll own full-cycle recruiting for consulting roles across levels, moving fast, spending wisely, and bringing in people who deliver for clients from day one.

This role is for someone who is competitive, comfortable being measured on results, and motivated by hitting and beating the number.

Responsibilities

Own full-cycle recruiting roles, from intake to offer acceptance

Partner with practice leads and partners to forecast demand, align hiring to utilization and pipeline, and prioritize the roles that matter most to the business

Build and run a proactive sourcing engine, including direct outreach, referrals, alumni networks, and competitor mapping, so you aren't reliant on job boards

Manage the budget like it's your own: track cost-per-hire, agency spend, and channel ROI, and cut what isn't performing

Negotiate and close top candidates against competing offers from other consultancies, industry, and Big 4 firms

Reduce reliance on external agencies by building internal capability and a repeatable pipeline

Use data to run the function: report on time-to-fill, offer acceptance rate, pipeline conversion, source of hire, and quality of hire

Deliver a standout candidate experience that strengthens our employer brand and gets referrals

Advise hiring managers on market compensation, competitive positioning, and interview rigor

Maintain a clean, current ATS and accurate pipeline reporting

Qualifications

5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, with at least 3 in a consulting, professional services, or similar billable-talent environment

A demonstrable record of hitting or exceeding hiring targets, and the metrics to prove it

Experience hiring across multiple levels, from campus and experienced hires to senior leadership

Proven ability to source passive talent and close candidates in competitive markets

Strong financial acumen: comfort with recruiting budgets, agency fee structures, comp benchmarking, and the link between hiring and firm profitability

Excellent stakeholder management, including with partners and senior leaders who have strong opinions and little time

Skill with ATS platforms and sourcing tools (e.g., iCIMS, LinkedIn Recruiter)

Preferred

Experience in management, strategy, technology, clinical research or advisory consulting

Background building or scaling an in-house recruiting function

Experience in a high-growth or partner-led firm

Familiarity with utilization models, bench management, and workforce planning

If you’re looking for a career where your work advances global health and where scientific excellence meets real-world impact , join us and be part of something bigger. One Team, One Purpose.
