Substation Electrical Engineering Manager (PE) – Physical Design
Location : Remote / Work from Home
Job Summary :
Lead and mentor a multi-discipline team delivering substation physical designs for utility and EPC clients
Serve as technical lead and strategic oversight for project resources, budgets, schedules, and client relationships
Guide engineers through complex transmission and distribution projects
Review and approve design packages, drawings, and specifications for technical excellence
Manage resources, performance, and development for a growing national substation group
Partner with leadership on business development and recruiting initiatives
Champion a culture of learning, innovation, collaboration, and inclusion across the team
Requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering and an active PE license (PMP a plus)
Requires 15+ years of physical substation design experience, including 4+ years in leadership, with deep knowledge of high-voltage substation design, general arrangements, grounding plans, bus configurations, and utility industry standards
