Overhead Transmission Line Project Engineering Manager (PLS-CADD)

Work Model: Hybrid (3 days/week). Candidates must live within commuting distance of an eligible office.

Job Summary:

Serve as technical lead for overhead transmission line design, with hands-on ownership of engineering execution on large or multiple concurrent projects

Own design reviews and QA/QC for transmission line deliverables

Lead structural design work (about 90% of the role), including foundations, framing and materials for steel, wood, laminate and composite structures. Lattice tower experience is a plus.

Act as the PLS-CADD subject matter expert and train other engineers on the software

Support client relationships and respond to client needs and drivers

Support business development, proposals and pursuit activities

Mentor and develop engineering staff

Requires 8-12+ years of overhead transmission line design at 69kV and above. 500kV+ experience is strongly preferred.

PLS-CADD expertise is required

BS in Civil or Structural Engineering (other engineering degrees considered). PE license is preferred (any state).
