About the job

As a Staff Accountant , you will provide day-to-day accounting and administrative support to Camgian’s Finance & Contracts department, working directly for the Director of Finance & Contracts. You will prepare the transactions, reconciliations, schedules, and documentation that the Director relies on to close the books, report results, bill our customers, and satisfy government audit and compliance requirements. This role offers hands-on exposure to federal contract accounting, cost tracking, financial analysis, internal controls, and operational finance within a high-growth defense technology environment.

This is a full-time, exempt position based out of our headquarters in Starkville, MS , designed for a recent accounting graduate who is detail-oriented, intellectually curious, and eager to learn government contract accounting from the ground up. You will not be expected to arrive with government contracting experience. You will be expected to bring strong accounting fundamentals, care for accuracy, and the willingness to ask questions and learn. Work is performed under the direction and review of the Director of Finance & Contracts, with responsibility growing as you demonstrate proficiency.
