Payroll Coordinator

Compensation: $65,000-$80,000 base salary + eligibility to earn a discretionary bonus

Work Model: Fully onsite, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.

Accurate payroll is essential to every business, and the right professional makes it look easy. LaSalle Network is seeking a Payroll Coordinator for a growing professional services organization in Bannockburn, Illinois. This direct-hire opportunity is ideal for someone who can balance precision with responsive client service while managing multiple payroll cycles. You’ll oversee a portfolio of small business clients, most with fewer than 40 employees, and play an important role in ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time. If you bring strong payroll fundamentals and enjoy solving problems independently, this role offers an opportunity to put those strengths to work.

What's the job?

Process weekly, biweekly and semimonthly payrolls across multiple client accounts.

Validate payroll inputs, including time worked, salary changes, bonuses, deductions and withholdings.

Maintain employee payroll records and process onboarding, termination and employee information updates.

Identify discrepancies, research errors and implement timely resolutions.

Respond to client inquiries regarding payroll processing, pay details and account updates.

Collaborate with internal partners on payroll taxes, compliance questions and processing issues.

Track processing schedules, coordinate priorities and meet recurring payroll deadlines.

Recommend improvements that enhance accuracy, efficiency and the overall client experience.

What's needed?

At least three years of professional payroll processing experience.

Background managing multiple payroll cycles or client accounts preferred.

Experience with ADP RUN or comparable payroll software preferred.

Knowledge of payroll taxes, deductions, withholdings and applicable payroll regulations.

Strong analytical thinking, organization and attention to detail.

Clear written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook; advanced Excel expertise is not required.

Availability to work onsite in Bannockburn, Illinois, Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5:30 p.m.
