Scouting America operates through a nationwide network of more than 200 independent local councils, supported by a national organization headquartered in Irving, Texas. With an annual national budget of approximately $325 million and a broader council network representing approximately $1 billion, Scouting America combines the reach of a national institution with the community connections of a volunteer-driven movement.
