We are seeking an experienced Steel Fabrication Production Manager / Plant Director to take ownership of a large-scale steel fabrication facility poised for significant growth. This is an opportunity for a hands-on manufacturing leader to step into a high-impact role where your expertise will directly influence production efficiency, quality, operational excellence, and long-term scalability.

The facility has substantial untapped capacity and ambitious growth plans tied to large commercial and industrial construction projects. We're looking for someone who thrives on solving operational challenges, building strong production teams, implementing best practices, and creating the structure needed to support rapid expansion.

If you've successfully led fabrication, welding, or structural steel operations and enjoy transforming processes, improving quality, and developing teams, this could be the next major step in your career.

What You'll Be Responsible For

Leading day-to-day steel fabrication and manufacturing operations

Evaluating current production processes and implementing improvements to increase efficiency, throughput, and quality

Identifying bottlenecks, reducing rework, and establishing accountability throughout the production process

Building and developing shop-floor teams while creating a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement

Driving compliance with OSHA, ISO, and manufacturing standards

Improving facility utilization and helping scale operations to support significant future growth

Collaborating with engineering, logistics, construction, and executive leadership teams to ensure successful project execution

Implementing Lean, Six Sigma, and other manufacturing best practices where appropriate

What We're Looking For

7+ years of leadership experience within steel fabrication, structural steel manufacturing, welding operations, or related metal fabrication environments

Strong understanding of shop operations, production planning, welding processes, and custom fabrication workflows

Proven track record of improving manufacturing performance through process improvement and operational leadership

Experience managing quality control programs and implementing corrective actions to reduce defects and production issues

Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations, manufacturing compliance, and workplace safety standards

Ability to lead teams through growth and organizational change while maintaining production goals

Preferred Qualifications

Experience scaling fabrication or manufacturing operations through periods of significant growth

Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, ISO programs, or similar operational excellence initiatives

Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Civil Engineering, or a related field

OSHA, ISO, or manufacturing-related certifications

Russian language skills are a strong plus due to collaboration with portions of the leadership and engineering teams

Why This Opportunity Stands Out

This is more than a plant management position. It's an opportunity to help shape the future of a growing manufacturing operation with substantial room for expansion. You'll have the ability to make a visible impact on production, quality, team development, and operational performance while helping position the facility for long-term success.

If you're a hands-on manufacturing leader who enjoys building structure, driving improvement, and scaling operations, we'd love to hear from you.
