Associate Director of Campus Recreation for Sport Programs

Elon, North Carolina, The Associate Director is an essential member of the Campus Recreation professional team and provides leadership to one professional staff member, oversees management of sport programs including both club sports and intramurals. Additionally, this individual will be a key leader for a university strategic initiative to launch an elevated club sports program at Elon. Assists the director in department administration and strategic planning. The current Club Sports program oversees a total of 30 club teams and over 1,000 active participants. This year 6 teams will be elevated and given additional resources including university paid coaches. This role will work with a team across campus to recruit students to Elon through Club Sports, raise funds to support teams, and advocate for additional teams to be elevated in the future. The Intramural program is also strong with over 800 unique participants each year. This include leagues, tournaments, and special event. Full job description can be found on the Elon Career website. Master's degree in Higher education, student personnel, recreation, sport management, or related field with minimum 3 years of experience with the following relevant work experience: Completed master's degree in higher education, student personnel, or related field and at least 3-5 years of progressive post-master's experience in collegiate recreation or a related functional area in higher education.
