Technical Project Coordinator – Data Center Services
100% Remote | Contract-to-Hire | Up to $45/hour
Know Data Centers but Ready to Get Off the Data Center Floor?
You know what rack-and-stack means because you've actually been around it. You understand servers, hardware installs, fiber and copper cabling, equipment upgrades, and what it takes to get work done inside a data center.
But maybe you're ready to take that technical experience in a different direction.
We're looking for a Technical Project Coordinator to become a key point of contact for major enterprise clients and help coordinate a growing portfolio of data center Professional Services engagements.
What You'll Be Doing
Serve as a primary point of contact for enterprise data center clients.
Coordinate field technicians, contractors, vendors, customers, and internal teams.
Review technician timesheets and work logs and understand the technical services performed.
Support projects involving rack-and-stack, servers, hardware installations, fiber/copper cabling, upgrades, equipment replacement, and decommissioning.
Ensure completed work is accurately documented for customers and billing.
Track purchase orders, project spend, billed amounts, and remaining balances.
Work closely with Finance on invoice documentation, billing questions, and project forecasting.
Help manage multiple Professional Services engagements as the business continues to grow.
Deliver the responsive, white-glove service expected by large enterprise customers.
What We're Looking For
Strong knowledge of physical data center infrastructure and hardware services.
Experience with rack-and-stack, servers, cabling/fiber, hardware deployments, upgrades, or data center buildouts.
Ability to review a technician's work and understand what was actually performed.
Strong customer-facing communication and relationship-building skills.
Experience coordinating technicians, vendors, contractors, or infrastructure projects.
Comfortable working with POs, timesheets, billing documentation, budgets, and project tracking.
Organized, self-directed, and able to manage multiple priorities in a remote environment.
What Could Make You a Great Fit
You may currently be a Data Center Technician, Field Service Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Service Delivery Manager, Field Service Manager, or Technical Project/Program Manager.
Maybe you've spent years working hands-on with infrastructure and have gradually become the person customers and technicians rely on to keep things moving.
That's exactly the type of background we're interested in.
Experience with hyperscale/enterprise data centers, Professional Services, third-party maintenance, fiber-heavy projects, IT asset decommissioning/ITAD, or multi-site/global clients would be a plus.
