TBR Tire Development Engineer ( Greater Akron Area, Relocation Available)

Reports to: Product Development Team Leader

Location : On-site in Greater Akron, OH. Relocation assistance is available. Occasional travel.

Job Overview:

As TBR Tire Development Engineer you will organize and manage North American TBR field tests, analyze tire performance data, and communicate results to internal and external stakeholders. You will conduct market research, attend industry events, and summarize findings to support product development. You will coordinate the purchase and shipment of benchmark tires and participate in technical meetings with global teams. You will organize contracted testing, assist the sales team with technical product training, and support product reviews with customers.

You will represent the company at industry organizations and provide OE business and product liability support. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities independently while collaborating effectively with internal and international teams. Your primary goal will be to ensure accurate, timely, and actionable information supports product development and business objectives. Key performance indicators will include the successful completion of field tests, accuracy of analysis, timely reporting, and effective support of sales and customer initiatives.

Background Profile:

5+ years of TBR Tire design/development experience

CATIA V5 proficiency

TBR Mold Shape & Tread pattern Development

Intermediate knowledge of tire manufacturing
