Prominent law firm is currently hiring a Legal Assistant for a full time and permanent opportunity. The office hours are Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. The office is closed for all major holidays and most banking holidays. The law firm provides benefits that include medical, dental, paid time off, paid holidays, and long term life & disability coverage. Regular opportunities for pay increases based on performance.
The ideal applicant will have recently worked as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary and be comfortable supporting a Partner.
The Legal Assistant schedules all hearings, mediations, and depos. Assist with filing and basic calendaring. You will type correspondence, perform dictation (experience with dictation is not required). Provide relief to the Front Desk Receptionist for breaks. This position also performs basic data entry and customer service. You must be friendly, outgoing and organized and be a true team player. This position works very closely as a group.
