Medical Records Director

Hagerstown, Maryland, Job Summary JuzSolutions LLC is seeking an experienced Medical Records Director (RHIT/RHIA) to oversee health information and medical records operations within a correctional healthcare setting in Hagerstown, Maryland. This position is responsible for directing medical records activities and personnel, maintaining accurate and confidential health records, ensuring compliance with established policies and regulatory requirements, conducting chart audits, supporting continuous quality improvement initiatives, and training and supervising medical records staff. The Medical Records Director will also prepare required reports, monitor documentation compliance, address health-record-related legal correspondence, and support the overall efficient operation of the Medical Records Department. Candidates must possess a current RHIT or RHIA credential, have at least five years of medical records experience and one year of supervisory experience, and be able to meet applicable security clearance requirements. Required Qualifications

Current RHIT (Registered Health Information Technician) or RHIA (Registered Health Information Administrator) credential Credentialing through the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) Minimum 5 years of medical records / health information management experience Minimum 1 year of supervisory experience Current CPR certification Ability to successfully complete required security clearance/background requirements Strong knowledge of health information management, medical records compliance, confidentiality, quality assurance, and documentation standards Equivalent to $101,920–$114,400 annually, based on a 40-hour workweek. Compensation based on qualifications and experience.
