About the job

⚡ Staff Product Manager

🌍 San Francisco, CA (On-site)

💲$225k – $300k + Equity

The Company

Storm2’s client is a fast-growing technology company using AI to transform highly manual, operationally complex workflows within a large regulated industry. They’ve achieved exceptional growth over the past 12 months by owning the entire customer journey rather than simply selling software, giving them direct control over how automation, AI, and human expertise work together.

They’re now investing in senior product leadership to scale those systems further and drive the next phase of growth.

The Role

This isn’t a roadmap management role. You’ll own a meaningful business domain end-to-end, responsible for customer outcomes, operational performance, workflow design, and the AI systems that power them.

The opportunity is particularly interesting for product leaders who enjoy operating close to the business. You’ll spend as much time understanding customer and operator behaviour as you will shaping product strategy, partnering with engineering, and improving AI-driven experiences. Success is measured by business results, not feature delivery.

You’ll have significant ownership, high visibility, and the ability to shape how AI, automation, and human workflows interact across a core area of the business.

What you’ll be working on:

Owning product strategy and execution for a critical business domain

Defining and driving KPI improvements across customer, operational, and automation metrics

Building AI-enabled workflows that improve efficiency, quality, and customer experience

Partnering closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams

Establishing evaluation frameworks to measure product, model, and operational performance

Developing data strategies that improve system accuracy and decision-making

Leading customer research and embedding insights into product development

Designing experiences across digital, operational, and AI-assisted channels

Balancing rapid experimentation with rigorous measurement and accountability

Identifying the highest-leverage opportunities and driving execution against them

What you’ll bring:

6+ years of Product Management experience with ownership of significant product areas or business domains

Experience operating in high-growth technology environments

Strong track record of owning product metrics and delivering measurable business outcomes

Deep understanding of workflow products, automation platforms, or operational software

Experience working closely with engineering teams on AI, automation, data, or ML-enabled products

Strong analytical capabilities and comfort using data to drive prioritisation and decision-making

Experience leading cross-functional initiatives involving product, engineering, operations, and commercial stakeholders

Demonstrated ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on execution

Nice to have:

Experience with AI/ML products, agentic systems, or workflow automation

Exposure to evaluation frameworks, model performance measurement, or experimentation platforms

Background within fintech, insurtech, payments, financial services, or other regulated industries

Experience building products that combine software, operations, and customer service workflows

Familiarity with modern AI tooling, LLMs, and automation platforms
