Financial Accounting Manager - Buchanan, United States

Ascendo Resources is currently seeking an Accounting Manager for a full-time, on-site role. Salary range is $75,000 - $85,000 with full benefits.

Our client is a well-established, family-owned professional services company within construction and civil engineering in Northern Westchester.

We're looking for a sharp, self-motivated accounting professional to run the financial side of the business, working directly with ownership.

This isn’t a role where you’re a small piece of a big machine. You’ll be the go-to person for billing, bookkeeping, payroll and municipal bids, and what you do will show up in the business right away.

What you’ll own:

Invoicing, payments, customer statements and A/R follow-up

Day-to-day bookkeeping and monthly bank reconciliations in QuickBooks

Weekly payroll, from verifying time records to processing it

Preparing municipal project bids with the owner

Truck registrations, permits and state reporting

What you bring:

Strong QuickBooks skills (Desktop now; QuickBooks Online experience is a big plus because they’re about to switch)

Good Excel skills

A self-starter who stays organized while juggling many things

Industry experience not required
