2nd Shift Controls Engineer

Position Overview
Spectra360 is sourcing qualified candidates for a 2nd Shift Controls Engineer position with our client, an established industrial manufacturing organization.
The Controls Engineer will support the maintenance and engineering departments by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving automation systems and electrical controls. This position will also lead preventive maintenance initiatives, support equipment installations and startups, assist with department operations, and train maintenance personnel on basic electrical troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley control systems, industrial automation, electrical troubleshooting, and mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities
Maintain industrial automation and control systems, including PLCs, HMIs, variable-frequency drives, servo systems, robotics, network components, and computers.
Diagnose and resolve electrical and automation control issues.
Use PLC systems and diagnostic tools to assist maintenance personnel with troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment.
Modify control programs as needed to correct issues, improve performance, and support production requirements.
Assist with the installation and startup of new equipment.

Must be willing and able to work different shifts, weekends, and holidays as needed.
