Piping Designer

Job Overview:

The role is for Piping Designer with responsibility for plant layout and piping design for Onshore Oil & Gas, LNG, and Renewables Industry projects. The work includes conceptual studies, FEEDs, estimates, detail design, and construction support.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Utilize design system for the production of basic piping design deliverables with Aveva E3D

Generate bulk material take offs for piping materials

Maintains and promotes a focus on McDermott end product during engineering, fabrication and construction

Effectively communicates with other engineering disciplines

Ensures effective management of change

Assumes responsible for cost, schedule, quantity and budget control

Coordinate with supporting offices

Identify potential changes

Provide schedule and progress updates

Essential Qualifications and Education:

High School Diploma

Proficient in current engineering design and drafting and software packages including Aveva E3D

2 – 10 years of piping design experience in modeling and drafting

Strong communication skills and professional ethics

Preferred Qualifications and Education:

Some college or associates degree preferred
