Director of Laboratory

Executive Search Associates is partnering with a healthcare organization to identify an experienced Director of Laboratory for an acute-care hospital in Nevada. This role will provide leadership and oversight of laboratory operations, supporting quality, regulatory compliance, team performance, and reliable diagnostic services.

Description

The Director of Laboratory will oversee day-to-day laboratory operations and work closely with hospital leadership, physicians, clinical teams, and laboratory staff to maintain high standards of quality and service.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership and oversight for hospital laboratory operations.

Support quality, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Lead and develop laboratory staff.

Monitor workflows, performance, and quality processes.

Collaborate with physicians, clinical teams, and hospital leadership.

Identify opportunities to improve laboratory operations and service delivery.

Requirements

Clinical laboratory experience within a hospital or healthcare setting.

Laboratory leadership or supervisory experience.

Strong knowledge of laboratory quality, compliance, and operational practices.

Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Appropriate laboratory education, certification, and Nevada licensure or eligibility.
