About the job

Location: Northeast Wisconsin

Schedule: Full-time, hybrid (in office three days a week)

Reports to: Vice President

Plenty of agencies run on billable minutes and burnout, but this one runs on trust. Leadership is easygoing, deeply creative, and entrepreneurial, and they give people the flexibility to do excellent work and still have a life outside the office. Big projects get the extra push they need, but long hours are the exception rather than the culture. Clients stay for years because the work is thoughtful, the relationships are genuine, and the team competes on quality instead of price.

This is the chance to own digital marketing at an agency that is making it a core growth engine. You will set strategy and deliver measurable results across a varied client portfolio, from broad awareness campaigns to highly trackable conversion campaigns, working hands-on in paid social, search, and advanced location-based and behavioral targeting. You will join client meetings alongside leadership, help shape new business conversations, and help mentor and grow the digital team. The function, and your career, can grow as far as you take it.

Role Responsibilities

Develop digital marketing and campaign strategies grounded in client goals, target audiences, budgets, and performance opportunities

Ask probing, open-ended questions to uncover untapped audiences, then recommend the channel mix, targeting approach, messaging considerations, and campaign structure to reach them

Turn strategy into clear execution plans that can be launched, tracked, optimized, and reported on

Oversee campaign setup, launch, monitoring, optimization, and reporting across search, paid social, display, video, programmatic, and location-based platforms

Build and refine target audiences using client, behavioral, geographic, retargeting, and lookalike data

Ensure campaigns are built accurately across targeting, budgets, pacing, tracking, creative inputs, conversions, and reporting

Monitor performance and make adjustments that improve reach, relevance, efficiency, results, and ROI

Analyze campaign data to understand what is working, what is not, and why

Translate performance data into clear, practical recommendations for clients and internal teams

Join client meetings alongside leadership to present performance, share insights, and recommend next steps

Help clients understand how campaign decisions connect to their goals and outcomes

Collaborate with the creative team, project management support, and leadership to keep paid media, PR, content, and broader marketing efforts aligned and moving forward

Identify digital growth opportunities with existing clients and speak to digital capabilities in new business conversations alongside leadership

Strengthen workflows, reporting, QA, and campaign processes as the digital function grows

Guide and mentor a marketing coordinator, reviewing work for accuracy, quality, and alignment with client goals

Bring forward ideas that strengthen campaign performance and client success

Qualifications

3 to 5 years of hands-on experience overseeing digital marketing or digital advertising campaigns from strategy through setup, launch, optimization, and reporting, with a proven track record and the readiness to take full ownership from day one

Demonstrated ability to build campaign strategy from client goals, budgets, and audience insight, including uncovering untapped target audiences and recommending the right channel mix to reach them

Proven hands-on expertise managing paid campaigns in Meta (Facebook and Instagram) and Google, including targeting, pacing, budget allocation, and optimization

Strong analytical command of campaign data, Google Analytics, UTMs, and tracking, with the ability to interpret results independently and present clear, practical recommendations directly to clients

Disciplined, responsible use of AI as an efficiency tool rather than a substitute for judgment, applying independent thinking to audience selection, platform choice, and results analysis while safeguarding confidential client information

Agency experience across multiple clients, brands, and industries, including nonprofit, tourism, and education accounts, is preferred

Experience with LinkedIn Ads and programmatic or location-based platforms, including geofencing and behavioral targeting, is a plus

Experience mentoring, guiding, or reviewing the work of junior team members is a plus

Bachelor's degree in marketing or a related field is preferred
