Communications Specialist

WaKeeney, Kansas, Do you love telling stories, designing eye-catching graphics, and connecting with your community? Western Cooperative Electric Association, Inc. (WCE) is looking for a Communications Specialist to join our team in WaKeeney, KS! In this role, you will help share Western’s story with members, employees, and the communities we serve through:

Writing and editing, including our Kansas Country Living pages Social media and website content Graphic design, photography, and video Media relations and outage/emergency communications Internal and external communications Community events, member education, and our Annual Meeting Occasional evenings, weekends, and after-hours work may be required for Cooperative events, outages, emergencies, and other communication needs. Qualifications:

A bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations (PR), graphic design, or a related field (related experience may substitute) Two or more years of related experience preferred Strong writing skills; familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and social media is a plus A valid Kansas driver’s license
