Senior Designer/ Senior Design Lead | Scottsdale or Las Vegas

An expanding architecture and design practice is seeking a design-led Senior Designer to help shape hospitality, commercial, and multifamily projects. This hands-on, client-facing role is for someone who can lead design work, navigate city approvals, and help grow the business into new sectors—with a clear path toward a Design Director role in the coming years.

What You’ll Do

Lead project planning, including defining scope, evaluating project locations, researching zoning requirements, and aligning schedules with project goals.

Develop concepts and guide projects through design development, presentations, documentation, construction administration, and opening.

Navigate entitlements and city approvals, including attending city meetings and coordinating with jurisdictions.

Create thoughtful, accurate designs and contribute to innovative problem-solving.

Collaborate with clients, consultants, jurisdictions, and internal teams.

Help grow the business by identifying opportunities in current and new sectors.

What We’re Looking For

At least 7 years of U.S.-based architectural design experience.

A bachelor’s degree in architecture from a U.S. institution.

Experience in hospitality, housing, commercial, or related project types.

Experience with zoning, entitlements, city meetings, and approvals.

Proficiency in Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.

Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients and project partners.

Initiative, sound judgment, and the ability to take ownership of work and follow through.
