About the job

We’re partnering with a rapidly expanding global technology and manufacturing organization that is looking to add a Senior Cost Accountant to its finance team. The company provides critical automation technologies supporting semiconductor manufacturing, positioning it within a fast-growing industry at the center of the broader AI and advanced computing ecosystem.

This is an opportunity to join an established global business during an exciting period of growth and expansion. The position will work closely with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to understand production costs, analyze inventory and manufacturing performance, and identify opportunities to improve reporting, controls, and operational efficiency.

This role offers a strong combination of hands-on accounting, operational analysis, and business partnership. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys understanding how products are made, investigating the drivers behind financial results, and helping strengthen processes as a global manufacturing business scales.

Responsibilities

Manufacturing cost accounting: Support cost accounting activities across global manufacturing operations, including standard costing, production costs, and related financial reporting.

Manufacturing variance analysis: Investigate material usage, labor efficiency, overhead absorption, and work order variances to identify root causes and recommend improvements.

Inventory accounting: Analyze inventory valuation, aging, reserves, turns, scrap, and in-transit balances to support accurate reporting and inventory management.

Financial close: Support monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations, and cost and inventory reporting.

Operational business partnership: Collaborate with Manufacturing, Operations, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Engineering to understand cost drivers and support informed business decisions.

Controls and audit support: Support cycle counts, physical inventory counts, financial audits, and improvements to inventory and cost accounting controls.

Process improvement: Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, reporting accuracy, data quality, and efficiency as the organization continues to grow.

Management reporting: Translate complex manufacturing and financial data into clear commentary, insights, and actionable recommendations for business and finance leadership.
