Senior Solutions Architect

We have an opportunity for a Senior Solutions Architect to join our Solutions Architecture team in the United States, reporting to the Senior Director - Enterprise Architect. The Senior Solutions Architect owns the overall architecture for a set of projects and business capabilities and translates strategy, requirements, and constraints into coherent solution designs that span enterprise applications, AI, data and integration, cloud, infrastructure, identity and security. This role ensures solutions are fit for purpose, aligned to target state, and governed from concept through delivery and conformance. The role requires strong technical depth across Enterprise IT platforms and architecture patterns, but it is not a primary software engineering role.

Be a Contributor — What You’ll Do

Lead the design and strategy of project, capability, platform, and solution architecture across front-office, middle-office, and/or back-office functions, supporting initiatives and projects from early planning through design and delivery

Build an end-to-end capability-centric technology landscape to connect capability models, value-streams, processes, and domain architectures into a cohesive architecture stack in both current and various target state formulations

Develop contextual, conceptual, component, and physical architecture views that place the solution in both business and technical context ensuring appropriate functional and non-functional requirement coverage as well as orienting the implementation scope and approach and account for strategy, risks, issues, and urgent constraints that affect delivery decisions

Develop and maintain capability-level roadmaps that sequence platform, solution, and architectural evolution in alignment with business priorities, dependencies, and target-state outcomes

Own and evolve the standards and patterns library across architecture domains (AI, integration, data, infrastructure) and non-functional control requirements (security, compliance, regulatory, etc.). Partner with the architecture community to develop these standards and patterns and maintain them over time

Support architecture governance through high-level design reviews, design conformance, decision management, risk identification, and exception handling

Identify opportunities for reuse, simplification, modularity, automation, and zero-touch experiences within and across capabilities, applications and technologies

Build effective partnerships across business, product, engineering, platform, security, data, and delivery teams to drive aligned solution outcomes

Communicate architectural direction, tradeoffs, dependencies, and risks clearly across executive, leadership, delivery, and technical stakeholders

Demonstrate strong executive functioning through roadmap management, issue resolution, design coordination, and disciplined follow-through across initiatives

Maintain strong technical expertise across architecture patterns, integration approaches, platform considerations, and non-functional design requirements

Be Prepared — What You Bring

10 or above years of experience in solutions architecture, sales engineering, consulting, network engineering, cybersecurity, cloud architecture, or a related technical field

Demonstrated technical depth across the Enterprise IT platform stack, with the ability to evaluate options, define architecture direction, guide delivery teams, and make pragmatic tradeoffs without serving as the primary software developer

Enterprise platform architecture: Experience shaping architecture across ServiceNow, Salesforce, Oracle (Finance & HR), Microsoft 365, Glean/AI-Clients, and other SaaS business platforms, including platform lifecycle, rationalization, integration, governance, and target-state planning

Integration and data architecture: Strong knowledge of application programming interfaces (APIs), iPaaS or enterprise service bus patterns, data movement, data quality, metadata, and governed data products across enterprise applications

Cloud and data platforms: Practical architecture experience across AWS, and Microsoft Azure, plus enterprise data and analytics platforms such as Databricks and Amazon Redshift. Understands cloud foundations, storage, resiliency, scalability, and cost considerations

Identity, security, and controls: Working knowledge of single sign-on and multifactor authentication, role/policy/attribute-based access control, entitlement-aware access, data classification, privacy, auditability, security architecture, and compliance requirements

Observability and operations: Experience defining operational readiness and non-functional requirements for logging, metrics, application performance monitoring, availability, latency, usage, cost, risk, and service health across platforms and integrations

Architecture methods and governance: Proficiency in current-state and target-state architecture, capability mapping, reference architectures, reusable patterns, technology roadmaps, vendor and platform evaluation, architecture review boards, design conformance, and exception management

Enterprise AI architecture: Experience defining or implementing AI capabilities across approved foundation models, model routing or gateways, prompt management, evaluation, safety guardrails, human-in-the-loop controls, and usage or cost management

Grounded intelligence and agents: Experience with enterprise search, knowledge retrieval, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), permission-aware context, agent workflows, tool routing, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) or comparable governed tool-integration patterns

AI platform integration: Ability to connect AI experiences to enterprise platforms such as Glean, Microsoft 365 and Teams, Salesforce, Oracle, and ServiceNow while preserving identity, authorization, data boundaries, and auditability

Applied delivery judgment: Track record moving AI concepts from discovery or proof of concept toward production-ready architecture, with clear decisions, non-functional requirements, measurable outcomes, and adoption roadmaps

First 90 Days: Immerse in our culture, connect with mentors (Blox Buddies), and map the systems and meet with key stakeholders that rely on your work. Discuss and create short/long term goals.
