About the job

Senior Product Manager – Market Data Platform

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Hybrid, 3 days in office)

About the Opportunity

Our client is a growing financial technology firm whose institutional market data platform has seen rapid adoption, adding hundreds of institutional clients in recent years. The platform supports mid-to-back office workflows and is expanding into new markets and capabilities. The company is now formalizing its product management function and is hiring its first dedicated Senior Product Manager.

This is a highly visible senior role reporting directly to the CEO. You’ll set the product direction for the platform and work closely with the CTO, COO and Head of Sales. It starts as an individual contributor role, with the opportunity to build a team as the function grows.

What You’ll Do

Own the product vision, roadmap and strategy for an institutional market data platform

Bring structure and discipline to product planning, prioritization and delivery

Work with clients to understand their needs, market trends and opportunities to expand the platform

Act as the bridge between sales and technology, turning client and market input into clear product requirements

Partner with the CTO and engineering team to deliver new functionality and expand into new markets

Represent the product externally, including presenting the roadmap to clients and at industry conferences

Become the in-house expert on the platform’s capabilities, positioning and direction

What You Bring

5+ years of product management experience in financial services technology

A track record of building or growing a platform offering, not just individual features

Experience with mid-to-back office applications such as market data, reporting, performance measurement or data management tools

Knowledge of the bank trust and/or wealth management space (strongly preferred)

Strong client-facing skills and the presence to present confidently to clients and industry audiences

A self-starter who can work in a lean, fast-moving environment and set up product processes from scratch

Ability to work in the Jersey City office 3 days a week (the office is right on the PATH)

Why This Role

Ground-floor opportunity to define and build the product function

Direct access to and partnership with the executive team

A growing, well-funded platform with strong market momentum

Competitive compensation, including participation in the executive incentive plan
