Mavericks Wanted

When was the last time you achieved the impossible? If that thought feels overwhelming, you might want to pause here, but if it sparks excitement...read on

In 2015, we pioneered a “moneyball for biotech” approach, pooling projects and promising early-stage research from academia together under one financial umbrella to reduce risk and unleash innovation. This model allows science and small teams of experts to lead the way. We build bridges to groundbreaking advancements in rare disease, and develop life-changing medicines for patients with unmet needs as fast as humanly possible.

Together we define white space, push boundaries, and empower people to solve problems. If you're someone who defies convention, join us and work alongside some of the most respected minds in the industry. Together, we'll ask "why not?" and help reengineer the future of biopharma. At BridgeBio, we value curiosity and experimentation—including the ethical & thoughtful use of AI to improve clarity, speed, and quality of work.

What You'll Do

We are building the operational and compliance backbone of our pricing and contracting function ahead of significant portfolio growth. We support a competitive in-market brand alongside a rare disease pipeline moving into launch, and each product entering the market brings a defined set of statutory obligations, government program enrollments and contract operations requirements — on external deadlines that do not move.

This is a new role, created to own that work end to end.

You will lead two managers covering commercial contract operations and government programs, hold accountability for government price reporting and state price transparency, own the policies and systems that govern this work, and manage the vendors who deliver calculation and processing. You will be the person who ensures a shifting launch date does not become a missed filing.

This is a hands-on leadership role in a lean function. You will build process as well as run it.

What you will own

Government pricing and price reporting

Accountability for government price calculations and submissions across federal programs, including AMP, Best Price, Unit Rebate Amount, 340B ceiling price, non-FAMP, and ASP where applicable

Class of trade review and assignment, and the eligibility determinations that flow from it

Methodology approval, output validation and submission accuracy, with calculation performed by vendors under your oversight

Government Price Impact Analysis supporting pricing and contracting decisions

State price transparency reporting: new product introduction filings, advance notice requirements and annual reports across applicable jurisdictions

Ownership of the reporting compliance calendar

Government programs

Medicaid Drug Rebate Program administration, including state and managed care organization rebate operations, claims research, dispute resolution and reconciliation

State Medicaid supplemental rebate agreements

Medicare Part D Manufacturer Discount Program, TRICARE, and federal contract administration including FSS and VA/DoD

Government program enrollment, NDC addition and contract addenda for each new product

Commercial contract operations

Commercial and Medicare payer contract administration: contract set-up, membership and eligibility management, claims validation, formulary validation, chargeback and administrative fee processing

Commercial rebate operations, including verification that contracted performance was delivered before rebates are paid

Contract data stewardship and integrity across the contract management system, vendor feeds and financial systems

Service to trading partners and payers on contract operations enquiries

Policy, compliance and audit

Ownership of policies and standard operating procedures governing government pricing, price reporting and contract operations

Audit readiness and support for internal audits and external customer audits

Monitoring the evolving federal and state regulatory landscape, and driving operational readiness for new mandates ahead of effective dates

Partnership with Legal and Compliance on reporting obligations and risk assessment

Financial reporting and systems

Support for gross-to-net reporting, accruals, projections and budget inputs in partnership with Finance and with Pricing & Contracting Analytics

Implementation and optimization of systems and processes to make contracting operations scalable, accurate and auditable

Vendor management for government price calculation and rebate processing, including methodology sign-off, output validation, dispute resolution and service level performance

Launch operational readiness

A tracked operational plan for each product entering the market, covering government program enrollment, federal contract addenda, state filings, contract system configuration and reporting set-up

Where You'll Work

This is a hybrid role and requires in-office collaboration 3x per week in our San Francisco Office.

Who You Are

Required

Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred

8+ years in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry, with at least 5 in government pricing, contract operations or revenue management

Working ownership of government price reporting — you have run or overseen AMP, Best Price and Unit Rebate Amount calculation and submission, and you understand where methodology decisions carry risk

Medicaid Drug Rebate Program experience, including state rebate operations, claims research and dispute resolution

Familiarity with state price transparency reporting requirements and their variation by jurisdiction

Experience managing outsourced calculation or processing vendors, including holding them to methodology and accuracy

Demonstrated people leadership — you have managed and developed staff

Auditable accuracy and comfort with work that carries compliance consequence

Preferred

Product launch experience, including government program enrollment and new product reporting obligations

Rare disease, orphan or specialty portfolio experience, particularly limited distribution or specialty-pharmacy-only channels

Experience with contract management and government pricing platforms, and with system implementation or migration

Federal contracting experience — FSS, VA, DoD, TRICARE

Experience building or restructuring an operations function rather than inheriting a mature one

Experience supporting gross-to-net forecasting and accrual processes
