The Work The selected Principal Test Engineer responsibilities will include the support of the GWS-GFC IPT. You will design, develop, test, and maintain software applications and components to meet program and customer requirements. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot issues, implement enhancements, and ensure reliable software performance.

Standard Job Description

Plans, conducts, and coordinates software development activities. Designs, develops, documents, tests, and debugs software that contains logical and mathematical solutions to business/mission problems or questions in computer language for solutions by means of data processing equipment. Applies the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the development life cycle. Applies knowledge of computer hardware and software, subject matter to be programmed in business/mission applications, information processing techniques used, and information gathered from system users to develop software. Corrects program errors, prepares operating instructions, compiles documentation of program development, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications

Experience as a software tester and integrator; including working test plans, procedures, or test execution

Understanding of systems integration of system components within an integrated test environment

Knowledge of requirements development and collaboration

Experience with Object-Oriented development languages such as C++, Python

Familiarity with configuration management tools: Git, GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket, Jira, Jenkins, or others

Must have current GWS GFC test engineer experience

Must be a US Citizen, this position will require a Secret level government security clearance.

Desired Skills

Current/Active Top Secret Clearance preferred.

Understanding of containerized virtual environments

Familiarity with Linux, Bash, SQL, Matlab

Eggplant test automation tool experience

Understanding of root cause analysis and analyzing large data log files

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $98100.00 - $182100.00
