Accounting Manager

SNELLING is currently recruiting for an experienced Accounting Manager for a confidential employer in the Tyler area. This is a direct-hire leadership opportunity for an accomplished accounting professional who can manage financial reporting, lead an accounting team, and keep critical deadlines on track.

We are looking for someone who combines strong accounting knowledge with sound judgment, initiative, and accountability. The right person can assess a situation, make decisions, solve problems, and keep both projects and people moving forward.

Key Responsibilities

Lead month-end close and oversee accurate, timely financial reporting.

Manage general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and other key accounting functions.

Oversee regulatory, tax, audit, and compliance-related accounting requirements.

Lead and develop accounting staff while maintaining clear expectations for accuracy and deadlines.

Identify accounting issues, improve processes, and follow problems through to resolution.

Partner with leadership and other departments on financial and operational needs.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

5-10 years of financial accounting experience.

Strong knowledge of GAAP .

Experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, general ledger accounting, and month-end close.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet demanding deadlines.

Strong computer and spreadsheet skills.

Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of financial institution accounting and regulatory requirements.

Previous supervisory or accounting leadership experience.

CPA designation.
