Professional Liability Underwriting Assistant Location: Windsor, CT (Hybrid)

Business Risk Partners is a Program Administrator and Managing General Underwriting Agency focused on providing specialty commercial liability coverage for clients through a national network of Agents and Brokers.

Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Professional Liability Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. You will help keep accounts moving from quote through renewal by handling the day-to-day processing, follow-up, and documentation that underwriters depend on. This is a hybrid role based in Windsor, CT, in a growth-focused, collaborative environment where your work matters.

Key Responsibilities

Support underwriters across the full policy lifecycle, including renewals, quotes, binding, and policy issuance

Process policy changes, extensions, and non-renewal or solicitation activity

Follow up with agents and brokers on open quotes and outstanding items

Prepare and send accurate emails, documents, and policy materials

Use our systems and renewal tools to keep account records complete and current

Meet deadlines while managing a high volume of accounts

Required Qualifications and Skills

3-5 years of insurance experience, preferably in professional liability or a related specialty line

Working knowledge of policy forms, endorsements, and the policy issuance process

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Clear written and verbal communication with agents, brokers, and internal teams

Proficiency in underwriting or policy systems, Microsoft Office, Teams, Outlook, Word, and Excel

Strong organization and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

Customer-focused approach with a strong sense of accountability

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Compensation Business Risk Partners offers a comprehensive and competitive benefits package within a flexible and dynamic work environment. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Windsor, CT. The salary range is $55,000-$75,000, commensurate with experience.

Pursuant to Connecticut regulation, the compensation range for this position is as stated and includes eligibility for performance-based bonuses.
