This role suits a firm, persistent negotiator who makes sound decisions on high-balance, high-risk accounts and stays composed under pressure.

Duties and Responsibilities

Manage a high volume of outbound contact with customers, guarantors, brokers, and vendors by phone, email, and text.

Negotiate payment plans, settlements, and restructures within your delegated authority.

Assess each customer's ability to pay, factoring in pressures such as fuel, insurance, freight, and repair and maintenance costs.

Issue demand and default notices and perform skip tracing and business verification.

Coordinate collateral verification, repossession, and remarketing, and pursue broker and vendor recourse.

Prepare complete, well-documented files for legal referral, and monitor bankruptcy and UCC activity.

3–5 years of commercial collections experience, including at least 2 years working late-stage accounts. Equipment Finance experience is preferred.

Working knowledge of repossession, guarantor collection, legal referral, UCC filings, and bankruptcy basics.

Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills. Experience with Aspire and Salesforce is a plus.

Background in transportation or medical collections is a plus. Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred.

Excellent negotiation, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to stay calm and professional in difficult conversations.

Key performance Measures

Dollars collected, roll-backs and cures, charge-off reduction, promise-to-pay kept rate, and the quality of repossession and legal referral files.

Location Requirement
