Staff Accountant $80,000 plus OT Far Rockaway, Queens- Daily onsite

Key Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant:
Prepare and post journal entries while maintaining accurate general ledger records.
Perform bank, balance sheet, credit card, and subsidiary ledger reconciliations.
Support month-end and year-end close, including accruals, prepaid expenses, payroll reconciliations, fixed assets, and account analysis.
Assist with accounts payable, accounts receivable, financial reporting, and cash-flow monitoring.
Prepare schedules, variance analyses, and supporting documentation for audits, tax filings, and compliance requirements.
Qualifications for the Staff Accountant:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
3+ years of accounting experience with general ledger and account reconciliation responsibilities.
Strong understanding of month-end close processes and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Experience with accounting software or ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central experience is a plus.
