Project Accountant Responsibilities

Oversee financial activities across multiple construction projects, from budgeting through closeout.

Prepare project billings, invoices, and supporting financial documentation.

Track project costs, budgets, forecasts, and financial performance.

Partner with Project Managers to review job costs and resolve billing discrepancies.

Support month-end reporting, reconciliations, and accounting operations.

Assist with subcontractor billing, payments, and compliance documentation.

Project Accountant Qualifications

2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in project accounting or construction.

Strong Excel skills and experience managing financial spreadsheets.

Exposure to billing, budgeting, job costing, or financial reconciliations.

Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple departments.

Experience with Sage, Procore, TimberScan, or similar systems is a plus.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; relevant experience will also be considered.
