About the job

Executive Vice President of Sales - Insurance

Location: Upper Midwest

Leaders here take a long view, and it shows in how people are treated. Ownership invests in culture and in the people who build it, giving employees real autonomy to test new ideas, learn from what does not work, and move forward with the support they need. Expectations are high, but so is the care behind them, and leaders take a hands-on interest in growing the next generation of talent. The result is a forward-thinking, energetic workplace where many say they are having the most fun of their careers.

As the senior leader of the entire sales organization, you will hold a true seat at the executive table and shape how the business grows over the next several years. This is a leader-of-leaders role: you will coach and develop divisional sales leaders, build a bench of future leaders, and set the strategic vision behind an ambitious, primarily organic growth plan. You will also have the latitude to modernize how the team goes to market, putting technology and AI to work across prospecting, selling, and client service.

Role Responsibilities

Lead the full sales organization, setting the strategic framework, growth vision, and priorities across all divisions.

Report to the CEO and serve as a member of the executive leadership team.

Lead and develop divisional sales leaders across the company's lines of business.

Assess sales talent, structure, and processes across divisions and implement improvements that support scalable growth.

Build and install a leadership development model that grows divisional leaders into strong people leaders and creates a bench of future sales leaders.

Own the sales growth plan supporting an ambitious, primarily organic growth strategy, including well-reasoned investment plans for larger expenditures.

Represent the company across its full relationship network of clients and prospects, carrier partners, and the internal team.

Build senior-level relationships with the company's top carrier partners, while divisional leaders own day-to-day carrier relationships.

Serve as a visible executive presence with key clients and prospects in support of the sales team.

Partner with technology leadership to embed technology and AI into how the sales team prospects, sells, and serves clients.

Oversee hiring and performance management for the sales organization, with divisional leaders managing day-to-day execution.

Collaborate with marketing on events, sponsorships, and go-to-market initiatives.

Travel regularly throughout the region to engage teams, clients, and partners across multiple office locations; overnight travel is limited.
