About Us:
Forage’s mission is to expand financial access for low-income families.
According to recent studies, the cost of groceries is the number-one financial stressor in America—even more stressful than housing, healthcare, and childcare. At Forage, we believe that it doesn’t have to be that way, and our mission is to help people put food on the table.
Our technology makes it easy for retailers like Albertsons and Dollar General to accept benefits like SNAP and WIC. Our free consumer app helps cost-conscious shoppers check their EBT balances, find savings, and earn rewards on everyday purchases. And we’re just getting started: we’re building new products every day that will help low-income families save on groceries and improve their financial health.
Our impact so far:
Forage’s payments technology is used at over 100,000+ stores in all 50 states
We’ve helped deliver tens of millions of grocery orders to low-income families
Over the last year, we’ve grown payments volume by more than 13x
Since its launch in 2025, the Forage App has been downloaded more than 100,000 times
We recently raised our $40M Series B, bringing our total funding to over $75M

The Role
We are hiring our first dedicated Consumer Growth Marketing Manager: a hands-on, data-driven marketer who will own the marketing engine behind the Forage app. You will be responsible for scaling the app’s monthly active users (MAU) by an order of magnitude in 2027 by building and scaling acquisition, activation, and retention channels, while telling a clear, trustworthy Forage story to the households we serve.
This is a hybrid role, split between growth marketing (~80% of focus) and brand marketing (~20%). As the Forage app scales, you will manage a larger budget, more sophisticated channels, agency partners, and potentially additional resources.
You will report to the General Manager, Consumer and work closely with Product, Data, Partnerships, Legal, and Design. Over time, the role may also collaborate on broader corporate B2B2C marketing, partnering with our Head of Communications and Content to tell one cohesive Forage story across our lines of business.
What You’ll Do
Growth Marketing (~80%)
Own the Forage app growth plan and the channel strategy behind it, including paid social, paid search, YouTube, and UGC/influencer, and emerging channels (e.g., AEO, ChatGPT ads, etc.)
Identify, test, and launch new acquisition channels to diversify the marketing mix as we scale
Build and run lifecycle programs across push, email, and in-app to drive activation, engagement, and retention
Manage CAC, payback, and budget allocation across channels, shifting spend based on marginal returns
Run a disciplined experimentation program, from creative testing to landing pages to onboarding, and report and take action on key learnings
Own campaign reporting to understand key performance drivers, and partner with Data and Product to turn those insights into roadmap and campaign decisions
Manage agencies and vendors and hold them accountable to performance targets
Brand Marketing (~20%)
Build and own Forage's social media presence and content calendar
Develop creative briefs, messaging, and UGC and creator programs that resonate with the households we serve
Partner with Design, Communications, Product, and Legal to keep our creative clear, accurate, and on brand
Support broader Forage brand and communications work as the role grows
What We’re Looking For
3-5 years of experience in growth or performance marketing, ideally at a mobile-first consumer company (e.g., fintech, rewards, savings, or marketplace)
Hands-on mobile app acquisition experience, including paid social for app installs, Apple Search Ads, Google App Campaigns, and App Store Optimization, with knowledge of mobile attribution (e.g., AppsFlyer, Adjust, Branch) and iOS privacy limits
Experience running a multi-channel mix, such as paid social, paid search, YouTube, and UGC/creator partnerships, including identifying and expanding into new channels and campaign types
Lifecycle marketing experience across push and email (e.g., Braze, Iterable), with a focus on activation and retention
Strong command of unit economics, including metrics such as CAC, payback period, cohort retention, and blended vs. channel-level reporting
Experience managing agencies and vendors and owning a brand’s social media presence
A self-starter who thrives in ambiguity, communicates clearly, can start from zero, and can influence cross-functional partners without authority
