A city's score is the share of its open professional roles whose posting says the work is remote. Hybrid and on-site roles are not counted.

A remote role is attached to the city its posting names, which is usually the employer's base, not where the worker lives.

A city where one employer posts more than 50% of its openings is not ranked, so a single company cannot decide a city's score.
