Position Overview
International’s Huntsville Powertrain Plant is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor to lead first shift operations. This role is not just about running production, it’s about owning a business, developing people, and building a culture where problems are surfaced and solved the right way.
You will be responsible for a defined area of the operation with clear ownership for safety, quality, delivery, and cost, while leading a team of Team Leaders and operators. Success in this role comes from being present on the floor, coaching daily, and building capable teams—not just reacting to yesterday’s results.
We are strengthening how we operate, moving toward standard work, accountability, and problem-solving at the right level. Supervisors play a key role in setting that tone every day.

Lead and be present on the floor – drive daily performance through engagement, not from behind a desk
Own your area end-to-end – no gaps, no shared accountability
Develop Team Leaders – coach them on how to run their areas, solve problems, and lead people
Set and follow leader standard work – drive consistency in how the business runs each day
Build stability before speed – focus on standard processes, clear expectations, and repeatable results
Identify problems early and respond with urgency – escalate when needed, but don’t pass problems on
Drive practical problem-solving – focus on root cause and sustainable fixes, not quick patches
Coordinate with support teams (Quality, Materials, Maintenance, etc.) to remove barriers to performance
Support hiring, onboarding, and development to build a strong and capable team
