Our Core Tax Services team is seeking a Senior Tax Manager to support our Virginia Beach, Virginia market on a hybrid schedule (average 2-3 days/week in office).

The successful candidate will manage the client’s tax compliance needs, anticipate tax and business issues, and recognize tax planning opportunities. Candidates should be accustomed to working as the main point of contact with the client and will be comfortable in managing workflows, deadlines, deliverables, and client communications. This role will also be responsible for training and developing less experienced professional staff.

As a Tax Senior Manager, you will:

Solve problems for middle-market clients in industries such as manufacturing, real estate and construction, professional services, and others

Manage engagements and providing knowledgeable review of complex individual and partnership returns

Build and serve our high net-worth individual clients with estate, gift and trust tax planning and compliance needs

Leverage strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities

Lead tax staff, seniors, and managers in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Demonstrate superior client service skills

What you bring to the role:

Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Master's preferred

Must be CPA certified with an active CPA license

Minimum of 7 years of experience in public accounting with a minimum of 2 years of managerial experience

Strong background and understanding of C and S Corporation, LLC, and Partnership taxation

Demonstrated background in working with pass-through entity taxation

Preferred partnership experience includes entity structuring, operating agreement review and consultation, compliance, allocations, partner transactions and related matters

Experience with complex individual tax compliance and planning as well as estate tax compliance and planning are a plus

The salary range for this position is included below. Individual salaries within this range are determined by a variety of factors including but not limited to the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education, knowledge, skills, and geographic location. Pay Range: $122,500-$202,900
