Position Overview

You will own Prime Medicine’s end-to-end supply chain, from raw materials through clinical supply and commercialization, with direct accountability for materials management and for supporting internal planning and manufacturing needs. You will manage our external manufacturing partners, lead a highly functional lean team, and serve as the primary partner to Finance for TDO external spend. We are looking for a leader who embraces AI as a core part of how supply chain and external manufacturing run at Prime Medicine, from forecasting and materials visibility to partner performance and cost modeling. This role is for someone who thrives in ambiguity, is energized by building, and pairs strategic thinking with hands-on execution.
Primary Responsibilities

AI-enabled operations. Lead the use of AI and digital tools across supply chain and external manufacturing, including demand forecasting, materials and inventory visibility, partner performance monitoring, contract and cost modeling, and logistics tracking, as well as keeping the function ahead of new tools as they emerge.
Materials management. Own materials management across the portfolio, including forecasting, sourcing, purchasing, and inventory of raw materials, critical starting materials, and components, so materials are available on time for each program.
Planning and supply operations. Support internal planning and the manufacturing needs of each program; deliver labeling, packaging, shipping, and cell therapy logistics on time and in full; and resolve supply risks before they affect timelines.
External manufacturing and partners. Build and manage a network of CDMOs, CROs, and critical suppliers, including contracts, governance, performance, and qualification of new partners.
Clinical and commercial readiness. Ensure supply chain documentation and external site readiness support IND and BLA submissions, working with CMC, Regulatory, Quality, Non-clinical Development, Clinical, and program teams.
Own TDO budget development for external spend, cost projections, and financial reporting in close partnership with functional leaders and Finance.
Leadership . Lead, coach, and inspire your team of supply chain/external manufacturing professionals and indirect colleagues across TDO; foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaborative problem-solving and goal attainment
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline; advanced degree (MS, MBA, or PhD) preferred
15–20+ years of progressive experience in supply chain, technical operations, external manufacturing, process development, or MSAT within biotech or pharma
Direct ownership of materials management and clinical supply for clinical-stage programs
Experience managing CDMOs and CROs, including negotiating MSAs and SOWs
Experience with cell therapy and/or LNP or nucleic acid programs; experience supporting IND/CTA and BLA/MAA submissions
Financial acumen, including ownership of operating budgets and multi-year cost projections
Track record of implementing AI or digital tools that improved forecasting, visibility, or decision-making in supply chain or operations, and of changing how teams work as a result
Strong change management, project management, and communication skills, with the ability to build trust with partners, Finance, and senior leadership
Plus: lean, fast-moving biotech; ultra-rare disease or small patient population experience
