Lead Software Engineer – Frontend
New York City, NY – 3 days per week onsite
$220,000 – $240,000 base salary + annual bonus + RSUs

This is an exciting opportunity to join a rapidly expanding AI-focused engineering team that is transforming how software is designed, built, and maintained. The organization is investing heavily in AI-enabled development tools, intelligent agents, and next-generation engineering practices, with plans to significantly scale the team over the coming months.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the design and delivery of AI-augmented software solutions across critical product initiatives.
Partner with engineering leaders, product stakeholders, and architects to define technical strategy and execution plans.
Build and deploy intelligent agent frameworks that assist with software development, code review, testing, and operational efficiency.
Drive modernization efforts by migrating legacy systems and improving platform scalability and maintainability.
Define and implement specification-driven development practices that leverage generative AI capabilities.
Own the technical direction for a key product vertical while mentoring engineers and influencing architecture decisions across teams.
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Required
8+ years of professional software engineering experience.
Strong full-stack development background with deep expertise in TypeScript.
Experience with modern server-side frameworks such as NestJS, Remix, or similar technologies.
Hands-on experience designing and deploying applications in Kubernetes environments.
Demonstrated experience leading large-scale technical initiatives and influencing engineering best practices.
Exposure to AI-assisted software development, LLM-powered applications, developer tooling, or agent-based systems.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline.
Preferred
Experience with modern AI development platforms, orchestration frameworks, and model integration patterns.
Knowledge of functional programming concepts and practices.
Experience working within marketplace, fintech, consumer technology, or product-driven organizations.
Familiarity with advanced frontend architecture concepts, including suspense boundaries and modern rendering techniques.
