About the job

Job Summary:

The Product Manager owns the strategy, vision, operating model, and roadmap for assigned products, capabilities, or enterprise transformation initiatives. This role translates business, customer, regulatory, operational, and technology objectives into prioritized, phased delivery plans; establishes governance, milestones, readiness criteria, and success measures; and coordinates cross-functional teams and third parties through implementation, stabilization, and transition to operational ownership.

Essential Functions: Establish, own, and maintain the product, capability, integration, or implementation roadmap across assigned programs and business domains.

Define and evolve the product vision, strategy, operating model, governance framework, success criteria, standards, and reusable templates.

Translate business, customer, regulatory, operational, and technology objectives into prioritized initiatives and phased delivery plans.

Prioritize and sequence work based on business value, risk, readiness, resource and data availability, funding, enterprise release calendars, cross-team dependencies, and vendor commitments.

Define milestones, decision points, acceptance criteria, and readiness measures from planning through implementation and stabilization.

Establish the roadmap and governance cadence, including review, re-baselining, decision-making, and reporting to executive and working teams.

Identify capability, resourcing, tooling, data, and vendor needs and incorporate them into planning and funding decisions.

Guide Product Owners, analysts, and delivery teams on backlog direction, priorities, desired outcomes, and definition of done, without assuming day-to-day backlog ownership.

Coordinate readiness activities applicable to the assigned initiative, including requirements, contracting, access, environments, data availability, connectivity, and testing.

Ensure requirements, dependencies, approvals, and upstream inputs are confirmed before dependent build or implementation activities begin.

Oversee testing, business validation, implementation readiness, cutover or go-live activities, and business sign-off, as applicable.

Maintain a consolidated view of risks, issues, dependencies, decisions, and action items; escalate blockers and facilitate timely resolution.

Provide exception-based reporting that highlights workstreams, vendors, data domains, or decisions that are at risk, blocked, or pending action.

Monitor outcomes, defects, service performance, and issue resolution during hypercare and stabilization.

Transition implemented products, capabilities, data, or vendor oversight responsibilities to operational owners and incorporate lessons learned into the operating model.

Ensure assigned initiatives comply with applicable regulatory, privacy, security, contractual, and organizational requirements.

Serve as a trusted advisor to business owners, technology partners, vendors, and executive leadership on product strategy, readiness, and performance.

Manage stakeholder expectations regarding roadmap trade-offs, delivery risks, dependencies, and changes in scope or timing.
