Applied Composites (AC) is seeking a Financial Analyst 1. A driven and detail oriented Financial Analyst to support our Controller with cash flow management, reporting, and data analysis. This role is ideal for someone with a solid analytical foundation (about 2–3 years of experience) who’s ready to take the next step in their career without jumping into a mid-level position just yet.

Job Accountabilities:

Monitor and analyze daily/weekly/monthly cash flow and support short-term cash forecasting

Pull and compile financial and operational reports from ERP and BI systems

Assist with monthly close, including reconciliations, journal entries, and variance analysis

Build and maintain dashboards for KPIs and cash metrics

Support budgeting and forecasting cycles with data prep and analytical insights

Analyze datasets to identify trends, risks, and operational opportunities

Work cross functionally to gather data and support finance initiatives

Recommend improvements to reporting processes and tools

Complete ad hoc financial analysis for the Controller and leadership team

Any other duties assigned, and further responsibilities as directed.

Experience and skills required:

• Degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field • 2–3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, or corporate finance • Strong Excel/Sheets skills, including lookup functions, pivot tables, and building structured analyses • Experience working with ERP systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Epicor , or Global Shop Solutions • Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, and communication skills • Ability to manage tasks independently while still collaborating effectively
